Trevor Ambrose is a name that walks hand in hand with the British kickboxing since its humble mat fighting origins , from fighting 2 or 3 times a week in small halls and sport centres in the early 1980s to fighting in front of millions of pay per view tv customers in the USA at the end of the 90s ,Trev has done it all, add to that a professional boxing career that reads like a whos who of  middle weight boxing , Full oriental Thai rules World titles , All the major world Kickboxing World Titles, to many domestic and national honours to mention, its easy to understand why Trevor is genuine Kick-Thai Boxing royalty.

Already a well known face on the world kickboxing scene , Trevor really made the big time when he stepped into pro boxing , Trevor rocked the boxing world with a shock victory of middle weight legend Errol Christe inside two rounds , boxing monthly magazine describing the fight as “a savage two fisted attack on Christie” . More victories followed until a title eliminator with the soon to be WBC champion Robin Reid , This Trevor tells as his most disappointing fight of his career , after outboxing Reid and ahead on the score cards , Trevor got complacent in the last round paying the ultimate price. More big fight followed usually at short notice against top opposition , while admitting the money was good compared to kickboxing, perhaps it should have been more when you consider those fights included Joe Calzage , Sugar Boy Malinga, Nicky piper and Neville brown to name but a few.

Trevors pro boxing career finally came to an end when the boxing board of control suspended his licence after Trevor took a kickboxing fight weeks before a scheduled fight on the Frank Bruno v Oliver macal card at Wembley Stadium , a decision that was a little unfair on Trevor whos reputation has always been to fight any body , any style , any where, . Trevor took the kickboxing fight finding the opportunity to good to refuse to take on unbeaten American legend Frances Footloose Farley on a Billy Murray promotion in Belfast , Trevor won in style earning himself worldwide recognition, in fact if you talk to Trevor, who remains one of the most approachable characters in the sport ,you will find he has fought in most countrys around the world , a truly worldwide champion.

Trevor now runs his own gym in Bergen Norway, running it with the philosophy that he fought with, anytime any style anywhere, Trevor has boxers kickboxers thai boxers and even MMA fighters at his gym.

For most of though what has made Trevor an inspiration to us all is his humanity and respect for others , whoever they are ,anyone who has known or worked with Trevor can only talk fondly of him, everybody has their favorite Trevor fights or storys making Trevor Ambrose a true legend in world martial arts !
